To our 6th grade companions, we wish you guys all the luck in middle school, break a leg ;) (but not really, that would stink!) To our returning friends, we hope you have a wonderful 1st day of school, and don't forget to take your teacher appreciation gifts with you! We're excited to hear all about your day(s)! This school year will be fun, and we can all start counting down the days until summer again (:

On Friday, the kids took their wackiness to Chuck-E-Cheese.

I would say wacky week was successful...now onto Back to school week! Here are some of the Keeley park pics. The kiddos really loved the splash pad!

 How fun!

Logan and Sarah (:

We also did some really cool crafts to get the kids pumped to be back at school.

 Cool bookmarks!!

Home-made Name tags for our cubbies (: Cool way to personalize!

Photo frames to remember our summer fun!

Here is a combined craft! We took some tp flower planters from art week, the wildflower seed from Dr. Seuss week, and planted them during back to school week! If you haven't seen them yet, be sure to look because they are starting to sprout!

Here we took broken crayons and melted them down into new, cool crayons! One crayon box's trash is another student's treasure (:

Animal week has been WILD !

This week has been one of the best yet!! The kids worked all week long on really cool activities. They worked really hard on their "made up animal" project, which consisted of creating an imaginary animal and writing about it. This is something that we felt would help with some school prep, as well as get their imaginations running. Along with that we made home made bird houses, animal related crafts, and played a KZ version of angry birds!! Enjoy the pictures and video below :)

Our younger girls grabbed some magnifying glasses to explore the playground's "wildlife!"

What did you find?

Home made bird feeders!

On Tuesday, the class adopted a pet for the day! Meet our Box Turtle, Augustus.

We learned that not only is the Box Turtle the state turtle, they also live to be 100 years old or more! Their diet consists of fruit and plants, and they enjoy the land and the water. A big thanks to Sydney and Sabrina for taking him home to set him free!!

Josh going for the shot in KZ Angry Birds.

Nova has a pig on her head (:

Nice animal masks, guys!

Friday prep for Safari Nation! Ms. Samantha transformed the students into animals of their choice.
